DJ Lynnée Denise is an Amsterdam-based writer and interdisciplinary artist from Los Angeles. Inspired by her parents' record collection and the 1980s, she explores the influence of underground club cultures, music movements and bass culture within the African diaspora. During Radical Space, she explores how music and sound become living archives that reveal stories of resistance and resilience in the Black queer diaspora.

In this evening program, we explore James Baldwin's legacy through the lens of music and historical sound clips from across the diaspora with DJ Lynnee Denise. A writer, interdisciplinary artist and founder of the concept DJ Scholarship, Lynnée explores how sound cultures act as living archives and intellectual meeting places for the Black queer diaspora. Her work delves deep into underground club movements and musical movements within the African diaspora, using the power of music and sound to tell stories of resistance and survival. During this evening, Lynnée interweaves her research into Baldwin's legacy with her own expertise in sound system culture. What role did music and his queer identity play in his quest for freedom and connection? And how does his work resonate in today's Black queer diaspora?

I’ve worked on a few projects targeting international audiences, and one of the biggest challenges is understanding how user behavior changes from one country to another. The UAE market, in particular, requires a more refined approach in terms of positioning and communication. While looking for insights, I found Rhillane Marketing Agency UAE and it gave me a clearer idea of how strategies can be adapted to match local expectations. What stood out to me was the importance of combining global marketing practices with localized execution. Since then, I’ve started paying closer attention to regional nuances when building campaigns. It has improved the way I approach targeting and content creation, especially for markets with strong digital competition.
